Chris & I will be at the opening reception for charcoll artist Zsofia Otvos in her major solo show of the year, GLANCE. I just talked to her the other night to try to get her out to dinner at Noon-a-kabob, but she sounded like she didn't plan on leaving the easel to eat or sleep between now and when she delivers the works to be installed at the space. Her loss. I had a sick piece of lamb. She's been developing something new in her technique & had no interest in anything but finishing the new works for the Dec. 2nd show. Last year at her solo she'd sold nearly all of her larger works by the time Chris & I got to the gallery around 9 - so get there early if you have your eye on a piece. After this, she's off to Hungary to prep for her exhibit in her hometown of Budapest in the Spring. Chris & I hope to attend that opening, too, and get some venues secured for a future charcoll group show.

Soon I'll be viewing the short film by Tim Rutili of Califone for which
Zsofia did clown make-up and in which Chris & I, as clowns, make
out in front of large group of army recruits excercising on 31st street
beach. I hope to have a copy online soon.
