The gallery opens in a week [link to press release] I'm getting totally excited, even though for the past few days I've been researching state parks for my mini road trip.
Did you know that the east coast boasts acre upon acre of dubiously men-hanced land? I mean, seriously, I was all like, Hey! it's the FOURTH! Where's NYC's Wisconsin and how long does it take to drive there? Get the tent and a cooler full of brats! And I pulled out my trusty spiral bound road atlas to pour over green icons of a fir tree and the little upside down "v" that represents a state park with camping facilities with joy in my heart. But every time I found something we could drive to, google kept shitting on my parade by pointing out the tannery next door or the superfund site that overlaps the camper's water source. What the f?
As a result, I've broadened my search to the suspect outreaches of Pennsylvania. Is it me or is that state a really weird one? I don't know. Should I be less afearing of potentially God soaked places such as Pennsylvania's Promised Land State Park or World's End State Park? Maybe I should keep my search for swimming and fun an a canoe to New Jersey, but that's just only like half a notch less freaky to me than Pennsylvania. Ithica is too far. I'll let you know where we ended up making our fires if I see you in ONE WEEK at my show in the new gallery::::::
