Just up the street from my new place is an Indian restaurant that serves their menu 1/2 price from 12-4pm. It's good. I went on a heat-advisory day, the day the tornado hit Brooklyn, so not many were about. It was fucking foul outside. There were a few intrepid heat travelers there and a very over heated server who looked like he might run into traffic at any moment. He seemed surly at first but was fine at serving, and I'd have been WAY surlier if I were working in a half price environment. 6 bucks for lunch with a samosa appetizer, which comes with two giant samosas on a half / half bed of tamarind and cilantro-mint sauces. I got the black lentils as the main course. I tipped based on the full price bill, but guessing from the elated response of the server this practice is rare.
I know already that they deliver and think i may end up eating there a whole lot.
